In spring 2019 Soap Images was asked by munich production company Constantin Television GmbH to take on the duties for still and PR photography for the Amazon Prime Video event streaming series »Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo« (»We children from Bahnhof Zoo«). A provocative coming of age drama, which follows the story of six teenagers, all searching for their place in the world in the midst of a timeless Berlin.

Christiane, Stella, Babsi, Benno, Michi and Axel (Jana McKinnon, Lena Urzendowsky, Lea Drinda, Michelangelo Fortuzzi and Bruno Alexander) and Jeremias Meyer find each other in the intoxicating clubs and underground parties of Berlin. They are strong, courageous and living wildly in this ‘paradise’ – one that initially appears to be a riot of colour, daring and excitement. At the centre of the group is Christiane whose life is torn apart by the devastating separation of her parents. She escapes her home only to find herself slipping into a seductive underworld. As the group’s bond intensifies they hedonistically chase the next thrill, navigating their way through euphoric highs and dark, dangerous lows. The series transports viewers to the gritty, atmospheric streets and sweaty, hedonistic dancefloors of Berlin’s iconic clubs. The episodes have a sophisticated, textured period look interwoven with modern elements for a timeless, contemporary feel that reflects the universal themes and stories of the characters.

The series was shot mainly in Prague and Berlin and Mike followed the actors on many shooting days while Marc joined for several special photo shoots on which the actors were photographed at the real locations and in a studio environment. Later Marc composed them in Photoshop to group shots that should represent some motives from the series.
